Hypnobirthing (And ‘The Crocodile’!) Helped Our Baby Girl to Arrive Quickly and Calmly

Mummy C says “We attended your Complete Hypnobirthing sessions early December and found them extremely informative, enabling me to make fully informed decisions on how I welcomed our little girl into the world. My partner wore a yellow T-shirt as this was the colour I envisioned when doing the Calming Touch relaxation script together and I used ‘the crocodile’ move from pregnancy yoga to help push my baby out!”

Hi Claire,

It was lovely to see you again on Monday, we both enjoyed our first Mum & Baby Yoga class!

I just wanted to pass on my labour story for it to be shared with other expecting mothers ðŸ™‚

First off we want to say a massive thank you! We attended your Complete Hypnobirthing sessions early December and found them extremely informative, enabling me to make fully informed decisions on how I welcomed our little girl into the world. I used the Hypnobirthing breathing techniques and visualisations you shared at these classes during my Labour and found them extremely helpful.

My waters slowly broke at 12am on 29.12.2024, with my contractions starting straight away. I was able to labour at home until 5am listening to some of the Hypnobirthing MP3’s, a music soundtrack me and my partner put together for the birth and the Hypnobirthing visualisations we’d practiced – My partner also wore a yellow T-shirt as this was the colour I envisioned when doing the Calming Touch Hypnobirthing relaxation script.

When I arrived at the hospital, I waited off being examined until 6:30am using the same breathing techniques as at home and sitting on the ball. After the examination I was told I was 5cm dilated and at this point I jumped into the birthing pool where I continued to labour until 10cm, also using Gas and Air.

It was my wish to have a water birth and as unmedicated as possible. I was very close to having my full wish but unfortunately, the midwives were unable to continue to track baby’s heartbeat, so the plan had to change.

I went to plan B instead which was delivery on all fours on the bed. It was at this point I started to do some crocodile wiggles I learnt during your pregnancy yoga classes to help push our baby girl out!

Your classes enabled me and my partner to feel confident in the change of plan, with him being able to clearly advocate for me.

The Midwives were brilliant at the Heath and also guided me through pushing and our little girl was born at 9:34am weighing in at 6lbs 15oz.

I hope this helps other expecting mothers in their journeys.
